Grove Resort Orlando Surfari Water Park

What attractions are in the Grove Resort Orlando Surfari Water Park?

Surfari Water Park Slides

The dual water slides were a huge hit for my 8- and 6-year-olds.  The slides dump riders into a shallow pool which is great for younger kids.  There was a lifeguard at the top of the slides monitoring usage which was great as a parent of small children.  The whole family will love racing down the slides over and over during your time at the water park.

What are the height restrictions for the water slide?

You must be 48 inches or taller to ride on the water slides. Do not worry though, because younger guests still have access to the 3 other water slides in the activity splash pool!

Kids Activity Pool / Water Play Area

Younger guests will love this activity pool and splash water play area.  All three of my children (Ages 8,6,4) LOVED this two-story water adventure are in the water park at Grove Resort and Spa.  Younger children will be entertained for hours.  Slide down one of the three waterslides or splash your way through water spouts and a wading pool. There are tons of seating options in this area for families that have young children and know they will spend a majority of their time here.  This area is also conveniently located near the restrooms which is great for parents on the go!

Flow Rider

Ride a wave on the Grove Resort water park FlowRider® Double surf simulator. The Flow Rider surf simulator offers a fun experience for surfers of all ages and skill levels. We watched adults have as much fun as the kids on the Flow Rider at the water park.  Whether you are a beginner or a pro, it doesn’t matter the staff at the

surfari water park welcome hut

will guide you and teach you what you need to know.  The staff went above and beyond to encourage my kids to try skills on the boards and made it such a fun and positive experience.

What is the Cost of the Flow Rider?

30 Minute Shared Session: $30

60 Minute Shared Session: $55
Private Lesson: $150 for 30 minutes and $275 for 60 minutes

We did a 30 minutes shared session for the Flow Rider machine at the Grove Resort water park and it was more than enough time for my  2 children.  I also loved that the flow rider requires reservations because there was no waiting in long lines.  You can book the reservation online here or talk to someone at the Welcome Hut when you walk into the Surfari Water Park and they can give you availability as well. We waited to book it the day of and there were multiple time options available.  This was a really fun part of the Surfari water park and I am glad we did it.  Well worth the money!

Main Pool

The main pool in the center of the water park is zero-entry pool and massive.  You can find a spot and spread out and relax.

Lazy River

The lazy river at the Grove Resort and Water Park was our family favorite activity.  Grab a float and lay back in the wide-open space and enjoy your vacation to the max with waterfalls and water cannons are a way to add some fun into the lazy river, but we loved just floating along aimlessly and enjoying the music and Florida sun.

Dining at Surfari Water Park at Grove Resort Orlando Florida:

When hunger strikes, refuel at one of the water park's dining options. From casual grab-and-go snacks to delicious meals crafted with fresh, local ingredients, there's something to satisfy every craving. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a meal with a view of the sparkling pools and palm trees swaying in the breeze.  The Longboard Bar and Grill is open Daily: 11:00 am - 6:30 pm.  Located at the back of the Surfari Water Park at the Grove Resort.  We had a great experience at this bar and grill. The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were top notch.  I personally recommend the Coconut Mojito bucket.

Your admission to the Surfari Water Park includes access to all attractions and amenities within the park. Additionally, complimentary towels and sunscreen are provided for your convenience. Lifeguards are stationed throughout the park to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.

Can I Go to the Grove Resort Water Park if I am not a Resort Guest?

What is the Best Time of Year to Go to the Grove Resort Water Park?

Grove Resort Water Park is open year round.  We visited the water park in December and loved it! The temperature was mid 80’s and the water was enjoyable.  Best of all, we had the water park basically to ourselves.  No lines for the slides and relaxing peace!  The boys had the activity pool completely to themselves which was awesome. We love to travel in the off season for that reason.  We get to enjoy the Grove Resort amenities even more with less of a crowd!

You really cannot go wrong with the time of year you visit.  It will be tons of fun no matter when you and your family arrive!

What are the Hours of the Water Park?

Sunday - Thursday: 10:00am - 6:00pm
Friday - Saturday: 10:00am - 8:00pm

Are the Grove Resort Water Park Pools Heated?

Yes the pools at the water park are heated.

Is it Easy to Find Seating at the Water Park?

We visited the Grove Resort and Water Park in Early December and pretty much had the entire water park to ourselves, seriously.  So no, we had absolutely no issue with seating.  However, I can imagine during the spring break and summer months that it gets considerably busier.  If you want to be situated near the pool to watch children swim or have a great view, I would recommend booking premium seating or a cabana.  During the really hot summer Florida months, a cabana would be my recommendation especially if you have small children who need to nap or rest and you want to stay at the pool all day.  Because it wasn’t busy we had no issue with poolside food or drink orders as well which was nice!  During summer months, I would recommend renting private cabanas to have secured seating and guaranteed shade.

What is the cost for Premium Seating at the Grove Resort Water Park?

Premium Seating for $50 which includes:

  • 2 Lounge chairs

  • 1 Umbrella

  • A lockable safe with integrated phone charger and cooler

  • Poolside service for your orders from Longboard Bar & Grill

Is a Cabana Worth the Price at Grove Resort Water Park?

The cabanas are considerably more than the premium seating at the water park but you are getting a lot more.  $150 - $375 for the day depending on the time of year you are visiting. I would 100% rent a cabana if I was visiting in the summer months.  The cabana rental includes:

  • Dining Set with 4 Chairs

  • Lounge Chairs

  • Cooler with Ice

  • 4 Bottles of Water

  • Television (Not included in Kids' Activity Pool Cabanas)

The Surfari Water Park was the perfect down time relaxation on resort day for our family.  There was something for each of us there.  From relaxation in a chair with a mojito for mom, sitting poolside for dad, water slides for big brothers, and the activity pool for the littlest brother we were all happy in the Florida sun at the water park.  This is a huge asset to the Grove Resort and Spa in Orlando, Florida as it is included in your stay at booking and is located so close!
