What is Sea Life Orlando Aquarium?
Sea Life Aquarium Orlando, Florida is home to sea turtles, sharks, sea stars, sea horses, turtles, stingrays, seahorses and approximately a thousand more beautiful and interesting colorful animals like a goliath grouper and exotic starfish among other things.
Sea Life Aquarium Orlando is the only underwater 360-degree ocean tunnel in all of Florida! It is absolutely stunning and such a great spot to get up close and personal with sharks and animals without getting wet!
Is Sea Life Aquarium Orlando, Florida worth visiting?
Yes! My family spent 4 hours at the Sea Life Aquarium in Orlando, Florida and had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend Sea Life Aquarium on a rainy day or a summer day where you want a break from the hot sun!
This was a perfect activity for me to do with my children solo. The aquarium is small and manageable alone and it was very easy to park and get in and out. Best of all all Sea Life Aquarium is part of Icon Park entertainment complex, so you have tons of dining and other activities at your disposal when you are done with the aquarium. Madame Tussauds Orlando, the world's greatest wax museum, is next door as well as TONS of restaurants. Be sure to let your child take a ride on the train that circles around Icon Park too, this was a huge hit for my children on both visits to Sea Life Aquarium. If you are feeling really adventurous, take a ride on a real helicopter and see Orlando from above or hop on the tall observation wheel!
What are the must do attractions at Sea Life Aquarium in Orlando, Florida?
Sea Life Aquarium - Coastal Rockpool
This was hands down our favorite part of the aquarium. My children spent 45 minutes asking the staff members questions and touching the anemone and starfish. My oldest son is in Kindergarten and missed 3 days of school for this trip and I loved that he was learning so much about sea life in Florida during the trip. He asked thoughtful questions and engaged in meaningful discussion about their habitat, plant life in the ocean, anemone feeding patterns, and enjoyed touching the animals. Older elementary school children would benefit greatly from stopping at this exhibit at the Sea Life Aquarium.
Sea Life Aquarium Soft Play Area
This was a great way to get energy and wiggles out for our 3 little ones while at the aquarium. The boys loved climbing and sliding. We had no idea we were going to find a play area inside of the aquarium so this was a pleasant surprise!
Sea Life Aquarium - Florida’s Only 360 Tunnel
Explore EVERYTHING under the ocean at the Sea Life Aquarium without even getting wet! Watch as fish, sharks, turtles, and eels swim above, beneath, and all around you. The Sea Life Aquarium tunnel was mesmerizing, and I could have easily stood and watched the sea life swim by all day.
Sea Life Orlando Aquarium Tickets:
Check Groupon for additional savings! I was able to get Sea Life attraction tickets for 16.95 per person which saved us a lot of money! If there is not an available Groupon pay for tickets online to save 10% before going. Buying tickets online is also a great way to ensure there will be room in the Sea Life Aquarium to visit when you show up.
You are not required to buy tickets ahead of time but I do recommend this for ease and to avoid waiting in a long line to purchase at the desk. This sped up our process a ton!
General admission ticket cost: Adult ticket cost for just Sea Life Aquarium are 31.99 per guest and 26.99 for child ticket. If your family is planning on visiting Madame Tussaud's, the wheel, or Legoland Florida resort, the combo ticket is a wonderful deal for a low price compared to buying all of the tickets separately.
Should I buy the combination ticket for Sea Life Aquarium Orlando?
If your family is planning on doing other local exhibits while visiting Orlando, Florida I would recommend the combination ticket. The Wheel at Icon Park and Madame Tussauds are in the same building where Sea Life Aquarium is. If you were going to visit these two attractions having a combination ticket would save a lot of money.
One of the combination ticket offers includes Legoland Florida Theme Park which is a HUGE savings. Day tickets for Legoland Florida cost 109 on average so buying the combination ticket is the same price and includes 3 additional Orlando, Florida attractions while there! Are there dining options while at Sea Life Aquarium?
There are not food options inside of the Sea Life Aquarium and there is no outside food permitted. However, there is a food court in the area where the entrance to Sea Life Aquarium Orlando, Florida is. There are also PLENTY of dining options in Icon Park in close walking distance. We ate at the pizza place in the food court outside of Sea Life Aquarium and it was delicious and affordable!

Our attractions are conveniently located within walking distance of each other at the ICON Park Complex (formerly known ICON Orlando 360). For anyone staying on International Drive, SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium is easily accessible by walking. The Orange County Convention Center is 1.3 miles from the attraction. We were staying at the Universal Studios Loews Sapphire Falls Resort and were able to drive to Sea Life Aquarium in minutes!

Sea Life Aquarium Guided Tour Behind the Scenes
If your kids are 5 and older add the Behind the Scenes tour for a 25 min guided tour of the Sea Life aquarium and a second floor view of the animals. We absolutely loved having a staff with us to ask questions tell us what goes into caring for the animals and seeing feedings happening on the second floor. My children were really into this and it was really nice to have some additional educational opportunities in a more personalized way at the Sea Life Aquarium Behind the scenes tour.
The friendly rescue sea turtle was being fed during our behind the scenes tour which was so awesome.
